Information and Communication Unit, Curriculum Development Department (ICT Unit) was formed in January 2003. The Unit has a total strength of 10 0fficers and 1 seconded officer from E-Government National Center (EGNC). The Main task of this unit is to design and formulate a curriculum that is in concord with the Sistem Pendidikan Negara Abad 21 (SPN 21).

This unit has the following responsibilities.

• To design and formulate the curriculum of
• ICT education for Year 1 to Year 6
• Computer Studies for Year 7 - 11
• Design and Technology for Year 7 - 11
• Specialised Applied Program for year 9
• Multimedia and e-learning
• Information System
  

• To monitor, revise and carry on research on the implementation of the curriculum.

• To help those who implement the curriculum (such as school heads, teachers, etc) by providing supports such as     training and sharing session.

• To produce learning/training materials such as e-book and step by step guide.

• Promoting cost effective educational technology (especially open source application) that can be used in schools through sharing sessions and workshops
